With this submission, the individual level table on SDA is tied with the TAS (at the time of writing) for the very first time! I have wanted this to happen for a very long time, and I'm glad I was able to do it.
This is the most difficult IL in the game, at least in terms of execution. The luck required is nothing to scoff at either, with odds of ~4.7% to get all of the necessary patterns. Most of the difficulty comes from the total of 7 frame perfect punches you need to time manually. Those include:
- The first punch to manipulate his guard low - The first counter punch - The punch immediately after, landing on the very last frame of his stun - The next left jab, which must be delayed by 1 frame - The next right jab, which much be delayed by 2 frames - The first high super in phase 2 - The counter punch in phase 2
Luckily, if you're able to land that last counter without losing any frames, the rest of the fight is free, as both the last super in phase 2 and the right jab in phase 3 are totally buffered.
I tried so hard to find a new strategy to obsolete this one just to avoid having to grind it out, and actually managed to find an improvement that works in the PAL version in the process. Unfortunately, that strategy is a single frame too slow to get Clown dizzy in phase 1 on NTSC. In any case, I'm glad I don't have to do this fight anymore.
